Muse nominated for NME Awards

Will it be another victorious year for Muse at the NME Awards?

The band are up for several awards including Best Band and Best Live Band. Thanks to your votes Muse have won both these awards several times in the past. So it makes sense that this year YOU the Musers are up for a new award - Most Dedicated Fans! The Awards will be presented at London's Brixton Academy on 29th February.

Christmas background competition winner is...

The Muse store has been replenished in time for the festive season, there is now a full selection of all items available. Plus we have a couple of new items - The Resistance Tour Photography Book and the Muse No.10 Football Shirt based on the design Chris and the Muse team wear at matches. The deadlines for Christmas delivery are fast approaching. So if you are thinking about getting any gifts from the muse.mu store this year, to ensure you receive it in time for Christmas please make sure you order before the dates listed below.

Christmas is just around the corner and muse.mu is in need of some festive cheer. So to help us get in to the festive spirit, it is time for the annual muse.mu Christmas Competition!

For those of you who are new to the competition, all you need to do is design something that is Christmassy and Muse themed to become the background for muse.mu. There have been some great entries in previous years, so we are excited to see what you come up with this year.

The winner will receive a signed copy of The Resistance Tour Photography Book and eight runners up will win a set of Muse Christmas baubles and all nine will feature on muse.mu.

What you need to know:

- Please make sure your entries are RGB JPEGS of around 100kb file size and with dimensions of 1680 x 1050 in landscape format. Please stick to these dimensions otherwise we won't be able to use your entry.

- Please send your email to competitions@muse.mu with the subject title CHRISTMAS BACKGROUND COMPETITION. If you don't put this as the title of your email then we won't see your entry.

- Feel free to send in more than one design, but please don't send in your entry (or entries) more than once.

- The competition will be open until Monday 5 December so get designing!

Vote for Muse for Best Headline Performance

Voting is open for the UK Festival Awards where Muse are up for Best Headline Performance at Reading and Leeds Festivals. Those who were lucky enough to be there or have seen the BBC coverage will agree that the band were on top form on both nights.

Voting closes on Monday 10 October, so there isn't long to get your votes in. And if seeing Muse crowned as winners isn't enough of an incentive, everyone who votes gets entered into a competition to win an amazing prize - a pair of tickets to every winning festival at the awards!

Don't forget that voting closes for the Q Awards on Friday, so if you haven't yet voted for Muse as Greatest Act of the Last 25 Years or Best Act in the Word Today you haven't got long to cast your votes.

Once again muse.mu has be nominated for Best Official Site For An Artist at the BT Digital Music Awards. We won last year…can we make it 2 in a row? Head over to the DMA site now and register to place your vote. Thanks to your votes Muse have made the shortlist for the Q Awards, and not just any awards but the Best Act in the World Today and the Greatest Act Of The Last 25 Years - a special award to celebrate Q's 25th Birthday.

The competition is tough, the band are up against the likes of Nirvana, Radiohead, Arcade Fire and U2. So if you think Muse deserve to win click here

Watch Muse at Reading on BBC Three

For those of you not at Reading or Leeds Festival this weekend, don't worry you can watch Muse on BBC Three on Sunday night. Tune in from 10.20pm to watch Muse at Reading playing what promises to be a fantastic set.

BBC Three are broadcasting from the festival throughout the weekend so those of you in the UK won't miss out and can enjoy the festival from the comfort of your own home!
