“Dig Down”

When hope and love has been lost and you fall to the ground

You must find a way

When the darkness descends and you’re told it’s the end

You must find a way

When god decides to look the other way and a clown takes the throne

We must find a way

Face the firing squad, against the odds

You will find a way

Dig Down

Dig Down

Dig Down and find faith

When you’re close to the edge

With a gun to your head

You must find a way

When friends are thin on the ground and they try to divide us

We must find a way

We have entered the fray and we will not obey

We must find a way, yeah

Dig Down

Dig Down

Dig Down and find faith

When they’ve left you for dead and you can only see red

You must find a way

Dig Down

Dig Down

Dig Down, find faith

We won’t let them divide, We will never abide

We will find a way

aaahhh

aaahhh

Altho the intro to Dig Down IS very similar to Madness, I loved the song as I do ALL their ballads along with most everything they do. The words are great and this song couldn't have come along for me at a better time. Thanks for the help! Looking forward to full CD....hopefully soon? And the Drones album, just slightly disappointed as I had hoped to hear more orchestral works because I had seen a short bit called "Strings in Milan" and was looking forward to hearing it in a song on the album. Don't listen to those naysayers guys, keep up the great work!!!!!!

Thank you very much! That is absolutely awesome. Mixing different genres of music you've helped me to achieve a musical Zen.

Je ne la trouve pas fantastique, elle est pas nul, mais pas énorme, trop électro et pas assez rock. bref, il y a pire, mais il y a aussi beaucoup mieux. Un peu déçue.

The defects of "madness" without the qualities. Matt says writing it in 1 hour ... we hear it well ! what a pity. Fortunately there will be THIRTY SECONDS on the american tour...

I hope people are paying attention to the messages we are being sent (inspect the lyrics), going back to their beginning. Showbiz telling us of the evil show business is pushing into their souls, forcing someone's dreams upon them, but who's? Sunburn hinting at wasting away their money causing a guilty conscience to develop. Bliss possibly describing the one giving him dreams, full of love and happiness. Newborn sounding like a description of what he's seeing within the world and asking the dream giver (God?) to destroy the soulless (loveless) in the world. ABSOLUTION album tells us much. Apocalypse Please declaring an emergency, this is the end of the world as we know it and asking for a biblical sign. Endlessly possibly proclaiming his love and allegiance to the dream giver. Sing for Absolution is him proclaiming to use his voice for God's (he talks about falling from grace) purpose. Butterflies and Hurricanes sounds like God's message to them to rise up and sing for him and let ppl know there will be hard times in the future. Thoughts of a Dying Atheist describe how strange it must be to encounter spirits or beings that you cannot fully see.The Small Print describing being a slave to the music/entertainment industry. Black Holes & Revelations give descriptions of his inner battle of who he wants to be but being somewhat trapped in his role to the puppet masters. Assassin is pretty self explanatory, he sees a revolution coming.City of Delusion sounds like parts are him telling the listener to shield your beliefs (from a possible attack) and asking God to destroy this delusional system we are living in. The Resistance gives us more love, wondering of existence, and brief descriptions of the evil being planned (MK Ultra and Unnatural Selection). 2ND LAW hints at a couple things as well. Supremacy sounds like God's message that he will eventually come and destroy the rule of the evil one. Animals describing corporate greed and the evil they play on the working people. Unsustainable and Big Freeze telling us a downfall is coming and to be prepared. Liquid State, Save Me, Follow Me are songs to God-asking for help to guide them into the light, into righteousness. Follow Me sounds like God's message to the people--when everything suddenly changes and darkness comes that you can lean on Him. The whole DRONES album is apocalyptic. Lots of descriptions of government control and war using drones to kill regular people, encouraging people to hold fast to their human emotions and rebel against a possible assimilation into cyborgs. The Globalist and Aftermath talking of the corporate (government) takeover of all the world's assets and using them for destruction and control. And finally this song, Dig Down once again describing the end times and how lonely, scary and sad they will be (a clown with take the throne [someone claiming to be God, but who is not God--the antichrist] while the real God looks the other way)--but always remember, have faith. This song is the first song he actually uses the word God. I see the lyrics and the messages in them, anybody else see anything?
