  1. Report Being a completely devoted fan I'd always expected the best from Muse, but you know what, I think we here in Perth got even better. What with Dom's lime-green stovepipes (swoon!) and remembering which city he was in (thank goodness), Chris talking to us on the phone earlier in the day and Matt being, well...Matt! the gig was just awesome. A great set, great leads (esp into invincible!) and faultless performance. I've still got the shivers I got when i first heard the opening A of take a bow...my my my. If i could afford it, i'd have been at every show here in Australia. who can even wait til they come back/new album it up! thank you muse for proving all those naggy naysayers i know wrong - you were perfectly awesome. rosieman 1545 days ago
  2. Report Had been told to listen to Muse since 2005 but never really paid attention till I saw and heard them at the Big Day Out in Perth this year. Some manic fan screaming out the lyrics in my right ear when MUSE were playing and I was gob-smacked. The Killers were very good but even a short set by Muse was the BEST. No way was I going to miss their gig at Supreme Court Gardens, and it would have to rate it as the BEST ever concert I have ever been to along with the Strolling Bones at Earl's Court second row centre stage back in 1975. Ended up about 8 rows back right in front of Matt with great views of the drummer as well. Got slightly moshed but nothing broken. Had hoped for Assassin and Micro Cuts but what the hell. Music has a future after all. Hanging out for their return and it's only been 6 days!!! wotthefiqh 1546 days ago
  3. Report The previous reviews capture the event pretty well, but lets not forget those awseome segments between alot of the songs - Hendrix, RATM - to those who know played a strong influence on the band and at the Supreme Court Gardens in Perth muse payed tribute in a very cool fashion, the stage dome filled with smoke and orange lights, my eyes were glued on Matt's sillouette hammering out Jimi Hendrix amongst the oragne smoke, it was the pinnicle of coolness and now im just waiting to do it all again in Brisbane. Thanks to Matt, Dom, Chris and everyone that helped for a night ill never forget, and i cant wait to do it all again in a week. P.s. Meet me outside after the show ha ha. 57EVO 1548 days ago
  4. Report Muse had a lot of competition for audience members tonight with both justin timberlake and megadeath playing on the same night (something quite unusual for the city of perth) however many dedicated fans lined up 3 hours before the gates opened and enjoyed hearing muse play assasian at their soundcheck. It was a stinking hot day creating a very uncomfortable 'mosh' which resulted in the barrier collapsing during support band the dirty secrets. after a 40 minute delay the dirty secrets returned and quite kindly only played 2 more songs before making way for muse. Muse finally took the stage at 9:40 much to the crowds relief and got things rolling with take a bow. Despite the crowds exhaustion every song was sung along to in full spirit and the mood was great. Muse were on top of their game with hysteria and starlight lifting the crowd. I was very happy to hear citizen erased and sunburn and towards the end of the set bellamy gave it everything he had. Wether it was playing plug in baby on his knees or performing the can-can during knights of cydonia he did it all. The gig was high energy with the band hardly talking between songs. It was an amazing concert which was made sweeter when i caught matts pick at the end.
