  1. Report The world crashed around them, ending in apocolypic fire and destruction... Or, that's how it sounded. No one in the world creates a bigger live sound than Muse. I was practically crushed on all sides three rows from the front, by people singing as loudly as I was, jumping and dancing. All swallowed up in the most incredible blast of melodic, free-flowing aural bliss that's ever come from a band. Starting off with "Knights of Cydonia", the lights blew up, and fists in the air, we sang with Matt with lyrics flashing in the backdrop, "No one's going to take me alive..." In the first ten rows of standing room at the front, it was absolute madness. I had to bring my arms down by my side to make room to breathe. Everyone was jumping, dancing, and swaying with the crowd. The band wisely worked in a few quiet songs that made us stand still long enough to catch our breath... but then it was back to crushing each other, nearly falling over with the swell of the crowd, and hoping the Sobe I drank in the line to get in would hold me over. Everyone in the first ten rows was just a mass of soaked humanity, not worried about passing out, but singing back to the band the songs we all knew by heart. Halfway through when "Starlight" and "Plug in Baby" came on, (Two of my all time favorites) the crowd kind of looked around at each other as if to say, "Yeah, we're all sweaty exhausted messes, but we collectively love every bit of this and we're gonna jump, dance, pump our fists, and sing until we pass out. Ready, BREAK!" Finally, after a four-song encore, the lights came up, and the crowd filed out. I nearly caught a drumstick, but I did get myself a setlist... which I think I'll have bronzed, and diamond-encrusted. And in true British fashion, the head of the setlist declares the date of the show: 15/09/06 Yay for Muse, and yay for sleep now. brettfromkansas 2075 days ago
