It wasn't a gizmo guitar. It was just an ordinary electric with an oddly shaped body. His silver Hawaii guitar was his new baby back then, the chaos pad custom Manson was nary even a twinkle in his eye. They played lotsa stuff from Origin, which wasn't out yet. The security forgot to hire a barrier for the venue(now the Forum)'s first ever rock gig, so we were just pressed against the stage. They made us just stand a metre back while Feeder and Rumanastone were playing, it was truly bizarre.

This was a great show. Matthew's gizmo guitar (i think an early prototype) fucked up and he ended up giving it to the audience. almost lost a finger on a string!

My favourite gig of the original Showbiz songs. Matt (Bellamy) broke into an acoustic spanish flamego session half way through the concert. I was standing on the second level looking straight down,front row so I saw the whole gig up close & personal. The most phenominal 3 piece band I have ever seen!
One memory that stands out was Matt playing this little Ibanez small cut guitar during "Agitated" and it was cutting in & out, finally he cracked it and smashed the guitar & threw it into the crow
